Aloha, my name is Tommye Jones, I live on Maui’s North Shore where I practice and share the benefits of yoga with those interested in improving their quality of life.
As a level one yoga instructor the main focus are the fundamentals of proper breathing and alignment that allow the body to function well now and in the future.
While my classes are Iyengar based, I do practice and enjoy Ashtanga yoga as well.
I came to yoga out of curiosity. I had low back issues, scoliosis and my balance was a concern. I am not exactly sure when these issues cleared up, but they are now things of the past. What I did notice from my very first week in yoga was how good I felt after each session. The practice for me is now a way of life that just keeps getting better and better.
